It's okay to talk...
I don't know where she gets it from, but she is quite the talker. She
preaches about this and that and the other and babbles on and on and on
about nothing. It's become quite the norm especially at meal times.
Here she is telling us about why she can't eat her last two Cheerios.
She's trying to hid them from us by putting them out of her sight, right
next to the edge of her tray.
But it's not okay to yell.
So for the past week or so every time we sit down to dinner, she of
course gets her Cheerio appetizer and then we all eat our meal together.
She usually just has whatever we are having unless it's too spicy or
what not. Well lately as soon as she gets a bit of her dinner she begins
to yell. Different from screaming, her yelling is not high pitched or
angry it's just very, very, very loud. So she's made it a habit to yell
during dinner. Great. Of course we tell her "Alyssa, stop!" or "You need
to be quiet!" etc. But of course that doesn't stop her, she just
continues on. So lately Luke is like, well every time she opens her
mouth to yell I'm just going to shove some food in her mouth. Right. So
he does this and we both laugh and Alyssa just looks at us like 'huh,
okay', eats her bite and attempts to yell again, but of course Luke is
there with the spoon shoveling it in. But then eventually she has so
much food in her mouth she can't really chew AND she still manages to
yell. So eventually we have to call dinner quits and take her out of her
chair and put her on the floor to play.
So suggestions welcome...comment below.
Yes Alyssa, do you have a suggestion?
