The hand me down process has begun.

Crib: Presto-Chango

I love his new bedding and his mobile, but I’m thinking about taking the mobile back.  I think he’s probably already outgrown the need for a mobile.  It was an impulse buy because it’s so cute.

My friend Rebeccah made this quilt for him…I love it!  (Thank you!!)

The first time I laid him on the fuzzy side of the quilt, welts broke out all over his face, but I washed his face off and they went away pretty quickly.  I’ve washed the quilt a couple of times now and it’s fine now…thank goodness. :)  He has pretty sensitive skin.  I recently tried using scented Downy and he broke out with that too, so I’ll have to stay with my sensitive detergent/softeners for now.

Alyssa has asked “UP PLEASE!” to get into the crib, but we just remind her that it’s Evan’s turn to be in the crib and she has her own bed.  She doesn’t like the bumper because she can’t see into the crib.  With the pack and play she was just barely tall enough to see in.  I imagine she’ll find a creative way to climb up to see into his crib soon enough.

These are the first pictures that makes me realize how big Evan is now! A little unsteady, but sitting up. What A cutie. He should sleep more soundly in this big bed.

Bina,
When I first began reading your bed situation I felt guilty because Nicole is still in a crib.  Then I read your nap story and I remembered why I still have Nicole in a crib.  Before Jake was born we gave Nicole a big girl bed.  Then a few weeks later Jake happened.  He was up all night and so was Nicole.  Both crying and no one in bed I switched Nicole back to the crib and she slept like a lamb.  So we now have two cribs and I really don't want to face that sitaution again.  So until peer pressure from other toddlers begins I am loving the dual crib lifestyle we have.
Glad I got your blog address so we can keep in touch.
