It was a long, but exciting day for us.
Evan started off the Easter fun by waking up first and enjoyed some early morning candy from his Easter basket. AND loved his very first Pez dispenser.
He was excited that his Pez dispenser had a duck on it. He loves ducks and calls them “E-I-O’s” as he’s slightly confused from the song Old MacDonald Had A Farm. Ah well, he’ll call them duck’s the rest of his life, but for now those cute little yellow animals are “E-I-O’s” according to Evan.
He was more excited about his duck when he figured out there was candy inside!
Oh my that’s a early morning sleepy face if I ever saw one!

As for Alyssa, we had to wake her up in a hurry in order to get to church so sadly there are no pictures of her with her Easter basket. But she did have a few minutes to poke through her basket before we left.
Our church put on an Easter egg hunt for the kid’s. Here are a few group shots of all the kid’s in their Easter outfits and prepped with baskets for the hunt.
Evan was excited about his purple bucket. :)

The little kid’s had their own area with 100 eggs to find!

Luke helped Evan find his eggs.
Once Alyssa had found quite a few eggs she was tempted to go into the “big kid’s area to hunt for more eggs…can you see them in the grass?
She did at one point take off running into the big kid area.

Here she is with her stash of Easter eggs.
Here is Alyssa with her little friend Ruthie. Bummed I didn’t get one of them looking.
When church was over it was off to the Hennessy’s for Easter lunch.
Here are the kid’s goofing around in the van right before we left.
Here we are at the Hennessy’s.
Tyler was in Japan and so his mom came to keep Stephanie and the kid’s company.
Here are all the kid’s on the "Love Sac.” At one point I called it a bean bag and Stephanie’s kids were like, “what’s a bean bag?!”
After our yummy lunch with Strawberry Jello Pie for dessert!!! we hung out for a while and then it was home for naps.
After naps…and yes we all took Easter naps. :) It was off to church again for our monthly “Small Group” event.
Here is some of our friend’s pretending to have fun. hehe

And one for the church bulletin board. :)

And that’s all folks. It was a fun filled Easter Sunday.
Speaking of filled…here you go mom, pictures of the kid’s Easter basket’s. I had wanted to get a picture of each of them WITH their basket in their Easter outfits like last year…ah well! Maybe I’ll try to do a reenactment this week before I put all of the Easter stuff away. hehe
